In the heart of the Olympic Peninsula is a little town called Forks. Nestled between the Olympic mountains and the Pacific Ocean beaches, it is a quiet little town full of natural wonders and spectacular landscapes. Now it is home also to Stephenie Meyer's vampire family The Cullen's along with her werewolves that are a part of the local Quileute tribe.

The mysterious family lives among the people of Forks, though they keep to themselves. Carlise Cullen is a respected and revered doctor, even though people are weary of him and his wife. They are a young couple with teenage children that they have adopted and raise as their own. The local American Indian tribe have warned local police chief Charlie Swan that they aren't to be trusted, due to old stories and superstitions. But it is Forks. Nothing ever happens in Forks and people live quietly and happily, but changes are coming.

Edward Cullen has been an immortal for nearly 100 years and in that time, he has travelled without a companion outside of his family. His parents Carlise and Esme, along with his siblings Alice, Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie often worry for him, but he is happy to wait for the one.

Bella Swan has always lived with her mother Renee and hasn't spent time with her father Charlie in some years. In a self sacrifice, she has decided to allow her mother to follow her new husband as he roams playing baseball and so she is moving from sunny Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington ... one of the wettest and sunless places on the planet.

Bella and Edwards paths are destined to cross and change their lives, their family and friends lives, bringing back old legends into present, dangering the lives of all who live in this little town.
