Bella Swan has never fit in, always been a little different. She doesn't care for what is popular or in right now. Having always lived with her mother, Bella has now decided to go and live with her father and allow her mother and her new husband, to have time and freedom without her. Moving from sunny and dry Phoenix, Arizona to wet and rainy Forks, Washington is as appealing to Bella as it sounds, but she goes anyhow. Life in Forks proves to be somewhat different than she was expecting. The kids at her new high school know she is coming, know who she is and are excited to know her. Uncomfortable with her new popularity status, Bella hopes they get over their excitment quickly, especially the boys who all seem to be competing for her attention. She isn't interested in any of them, that is until she first lays eyes on Edward Cullen. Edward isn't like any boy she has ever met before. He is mysterious, secretive and breathtakingly beautiful. He starts to consume her every waking and sleeping thoughts before long. After an icy start, they eventually start talking and grow closer, especially after Edward saves her life. Before long, they're inseperable, even after Bella discovers that Edward has been 17 years old for over 90 years. Before long, their inseperable fairytale love is interrupted when unexpected visitors turn up in the form of three blood drinking vampires and realise that Bella is human. Her life has gone from relatively safe with the family of vampires she's come to know and trust, to in grave danger when one of the visiting vampires decides he wants Bella's blood at any cost. Against all odds, Edward manages to save Bella, but not completely keep her out of danger because how could Bella ever truly be safe when she is in love with a vampire?
